Mrs Julia Beesley
HL Teaching Assistant
I was born in Madrid where I lived until I finished my studies. I then went to London for a few months to improve my English and met my husband so decided to stay. During this time I worked in tourism and the Spanish chamber of commerce in London .
We moved to Stratford in 1999 and since 2005 I have been working at Stratford Primary School, I have worked with all year groups during my time here. I have three daughters who were pupils at Stratford Primary School and were very happy during their time here.
In my spare time, I love reading, travelling and eating good food with friends.

I grew up in Scotland but spent a lot of time in Norway due to my father living and working there. My teenage years were spent at school in Malvern and when I left there I did a theatre studies course here in Stratford. I then went to work for a Large Design and Communications company in London. I began as a Production Assistant and then became an Account Manager travelling Europe and North America with Jaguar Land Rover and Aston. After spending 10 years in London I decided to move to Paris where I stayed for five years soaking up Parisian life before coming back to Stratford to settle down. It was then I discovered Reflexology and subsequently trained as a reflexologist which I found extremely rewarding. I started working at Stratford-upon-Avon Primary School in June 2019 but I have had connections with it for a lot longer due to my children attending the school. I am a Teaching Assistant and have a particular in interest in SEN. I thoroughly enjoy supporting the children both 1:1 and generally in the classroom. I have really enjoyed gaining more skills whilst working at Stratford-upon-Avon and have done qualifications in Lego Therapy, Child Mental Health and Well-being, Behaviour that challenges, Autism, and Counselling Skills. In my spare time, I love being amongst nature, by the sea and going over to France with my family as much as possible.
Mrs Nerys Buchanan
1-1 Teaching Assistant
I have lived in and around Stratford upon Avon all my life and have always had links with Stratford upon Avon, working at the RSC for 12 years prior to having my two children.
When my children were at primary school, I did some volunteer work at the school and this was the beginning of my lengthy career in education. I then went on to be employed as a teaching assistant, working in a range of year groups and with a variety of children and needs. This then progressed to me working 1:1 with a pupil and I was lucky enough to work with them throughout their school journey from Reception to Year 6.
I began my role at Stratford upon Avon Primary School in 2019 and haven't looked back since! I am really enjoying working in such a dynamic environment and taking on new and exciting challenges.
In my spare time I like to go walking, exploring the countryside and playing the odd round of golf, only the way I play is a nice walk in the countryside ruined!

I have lived in and around Stratford all my life and before having my son I was the Revenue Manager for a group of privately owned hotels.
I started at Stratford Primary as a volunteer in 2006 and became a Teaching Assistant in 2009. I really enjoy working in all the classrooms, but especially KS2 where my favourite subjects are Maths and PE.
Holidays in France are something I really look forward to so that I can keep up my language skills and I am a regular visitor to the hills and beaches of North Devon. I’d love to live by the sea one day.
Back at home I like nothing better than a brisk and exhausting Cotswold walk, followed by a log fire and a pub lunch! I am a keen baker and following a bread making course at our local bakery in Tiddington I would like to think that I can turn out a tasty focaccia and my favourite cinnamon buns!

Before working as a teaching assistant I was a Management Accountant and living near London, but after moving to Stratford upon Avon and having my children I moved into education. I love working with the children at school and watching how much they progress over a year.
I am married and our 3 children keep me pretty busy, but I always find time to read every night. I also enjoy playing netball and going on holidays.
